Installing Fedora Core 5 on a Dell D620 laptop

Here is a article dedicated to how i went with installing Fedora Core 5 on a Latitude D620, most things work right out of the box and some (wirelss for instance) need a little tweaking. The challenge this time is to see whether i can keep SELinux in enforcing mode. In the past i have always switched back to permissive mode, because that’s the fastest way to get things working, but this time i will try and keep the beast activated.

If you want a Linux distro on your D620 that works in one go, it seems that Ubuntu is your best bet.
